In addition, the Bike Rodeo on May 2nd and Touch-a-Truck on May 3rd are canceled.

Please note, any refunds will be issued as a credit on your household account or in the form of a check. Currently, we are unable to process refunds back to credit cards.

Parks, trails, and the Spring Avenue Dog Park remain open. We ask that users adhere to the Governor’s Executive Order and follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines when visiting these spaces. As always, your continued understanding, patience and support is valued and appreciated during this challenging time. Adherence to the guidelines and stay-at-home order is also appreciated. It is imperative that one’s personal enjoyment must take a back seat to public safety and the wellness of all.

March 20, 2020 Update:

The Park District has been monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely, and the health and well-being of our residents and members is our top priority. Based on the newest recommendations from the Center for Disease Control, we will be closing Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center to the public through April 7, 2020, at the earliest.During the closure, deep cleaning, sanitizing, painting, and other improvements will be performed within the facility. To alleviate some of the challenge of not having access to Ackerman SFC, fitness plans and programs will be posted online. These will be provided by the Ackerman trainers and instructors you are used to seeing as part of your daily routine. During these challenging moments, it is important to remain healthy and active.

We thank you for your patience as we work through this quickly evolving and unprecedented situation. If you would prefer to put your membership on-hold for the next few weeks, please reach out to Stacey Lim at

We will continue to post District-wide updates at, and encourage you to follow the Glen Ellyn Park District on Facebook and Twitter.
