Posted on: June 1, 2020

June 1 Update: In accordance with the State of Illinois’ Restore Illinois Plan, staff has made the following plan for the return of programming and reopening of facilities as detailed in Phase 3: Recovery, which began on Friday, May 29. We will continue to adjust our plan as we get closer to Phase 4: Revitalization. Below are the details for specific areas of interest:

During this phase, purchase of a $20 Group Fitness Class Pass (in lieu of monthly membership fees) will be required to preregister for group fitness classes. The pass will be valid from June 8 to July 8 and will enable passholders to sign up for more than 45 classes each week. All classes will be socially distanced and limited to 10 participants. Walkups will only be allowed if you have purchased a fitness class pass and there are spots available. Due to guidelines and safety, no exceptions to the class size. Further details on purchasing a Group Fitness Class Pass, class schedules, and personal training packages will be released in the Summer Playbook on June 5th at gepark.org/playbook.

Holes & Knolls Mini Golf: Holes & Knolls Mini Golf will reopen for timed, date-specific entry on June 8. Reservations will be accepted online up to 7 days in advance beginning on June 5. No more than 10 participants will be allowed on each 18-hole course per time 50-minute timeslot. Further details will be available on June 5 at gepark.org/minigolf.

Summer Camps, Programs, and Athletics: A new Summer Playbook will be released on June 5 with updated summer program offerings. This document will replace the Summer Activity Guide that was posted prior to the stay-at-home order and will be continuously modified as new programs are made available. Registration for programs contained within the Playbook will be first come, first serve.

The Park District has been monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely, and the health and well-being of our residents and members is our top priority.
