Music, Activities & Movie Night: Summer Kick-Off Bash – June 9

Celebrate the end of the 2026 school year at our free, all-ages Summer Kick-Off Bash on Tuesday, June 9, from 5-10 pm at Ackerman Park. Enjoy an evening featuring music by DJ Damian, a bounce house, crafts, face painting, a chance to meet our camp staff, food available for purchase, storytime in the park with the Library, and Disney’s live-action movie Lilo & Stitch at dusk. Ackerman SFC Free Week Returns May 11 to 17

Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center is opening its doors for Free Week from Monday, May 11 through Sunday, May 17, 2026. This is your chance to experience the fitness center and group fitness classes at no cost, with drop in fees waived throughout the week.

Whether you are looking to try a new workout, build a routine, or simply explore what the facility has to offer, Free Week is the perfect time to get started.

To participate, register at the Ackerman SFC front desk during Free Week. This offer is open to both residents and nonresidents, and is available to individuals 18 years of age or older with a valid ID, or to those under 18 when accompanied by an adult.

Family Bingo Night, May 1

Bingo lovers, unite! Family Bingo Night is happening at Ackerman SFC on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5-7 pm. We’ll have multiple rounds of bingo with fantastic prizes up for grabs! Game cards are just $1 each. Everyone’s welcome, but kids 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Plus, pizza will be available for purchase!

Earth Day Recycling Event: Fitness Clothing and Textiles

Through April 30, 2026, we’re collecting gently used fitness clothing and textiles, including tops, leggings, shorts, and towels, at Ackerman SFC. Donations will be recycled through the City of Naperville’s Environmental Collection Campus, where items are reused or responsibly recycled to reduce landfill waste. Ackerman SFC members who donate can spin our prize wheel for fun prizes. On Earth Day, April 22, non-members who donate may use the fitness center for free and spin the prize wheel with a membership purchase.

Register by 4/6 for the Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic and Kid’s Dash

Lace up for the Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic and Kid’s Dash on Sunday, April 12! The 1-Mile Classic is for ages 6 and up. The 0.25-mile Kid’s Dash welcomes children 12 months to 5 years, and adults may join alongside little ones at no cost. Registration is $20 per person and includes a t-shirt. Donate to the Glen House Food Pantry for National Nutrition Month

Our National Nutrition Month food drive begins on Thursday, March 12, 2026! Please join us in fighting food insecurity by donating non-perishable food items and essential toiletries through Thursday, March 19. All donations will go directly to the Glen House Food Pantry, providing vital resources to those in need.

Contributions can be dropped off at Ackerman SFC, 800 St. Charles Road, during regular business hours. Your generosity will have a significant impact on the lives of individuals and families served by the Glen House Food Pantry.

SportSwap on Sunday, March 22: Great deals on gently used sports gear!

Gear up for sports and activities at the SportSwap at Ackerman SFC on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 1-2:30 pm. We’re teaming up with Go Green Glen Ellyn to give sports gear a second life. If you have any gently used sports equipment that you’d like to trade in, you can drop it off at Ackerman SFC from March 16-20. You’ll receive a voucher to use at the swap. Alternatively, you can also choose to purchase equipment using cash or credit. You are also welcome to simply donate equipment as long as it is on the list of accepted items and in good condition.
